Yusuf Z. Nazerali

Yusuf Zoheb Nazerali is a practicing architect, landscape designer and educator. He received a B.Sc. in Architecture and Urban Planning and a M.Sc. in Environmental Planning and Landscape Design from Addis Ababa University. He joined faculty at the AAU – Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction and City Development [EiABC] in 2008. He participated in preparation of the first Urban Design project – ‘Basha Wolde Chilot’ for the city of Addis Ababa. In 2009/10, he was an academic guest assisting in the Master of Advanced Studies [MAS] Program at the Chair of Marc Angelil [ETH Zurich]. Since 2014, he is participating in the research: Green Infrastructure and Urban Biodiversity in Sub-Saharan African Cities conducted between the EiABC; Leibniz University Hanover, Germany; NUST, Namibia; KNUST, Ghana. His latest research interests relate to interrelationships between the concepts of ‘landscape’, ‘green infrastructure’ and ‘entrepreneurship’ in informing, transforming and guiding future trends in urbanism.
